Go to the Deyrulzafaran Monastery

Artuklu · Mardin · Türkiye

A printing press once worked within Deyrulzafaran's stone walls. Equipment brought from England produced publications in Syriac, Arabic and Turkish; some parts survive at the monastery. Ask your guide about the press, photograph a printing component where permitted or the courtyard, and note the monastery's connection with book production.
