Stand at Arslantepe, one of the first palaces

At Arslantepe, administration left its mark through seals before writing. Numerous seal impressions found in the palace show how taking goods from stores and sealing them were recorded. View the mud-brick palace, inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2021, from the open visitor route. Photograph a corridor and note the work of officials controlling goods. Do not assume the sealings are displayed in the palace rooms today.
