Read Düsseldorf’s city story in bronze

Altstadt · Düsseldorf · Germany

Düsseldorf received its town rights in 1288 after the Battle of Worringen. Bert Gerresheim’s Stadterhebungsmonument, made for the 700th anniversary in 1988, brings the battle and the sealing of the charter into one bronze narrative. At the monument on Müller-Schlösser-Gasse, find the battle and charter scenes and photograph a detail.
