Discover Guararé’s museum built by communal effort

Guararé · Guararé · Panama

The Manuel F. Zárate Museum opened in 1969 in a quincha building made through a junta de embarre, a tradition of collectively applying mud to walls. The museum about folklore is itself an example of that tradition. Study the exterior; if a visit is possible, ask staff about its construction. Photograph an architectural detail where permitted and record the role of communal work.
