Reach Zilkale alone on its spur above the Fırtına

Zilkale helped guard a medieval caravan route leading to İspir. Timber traces and beam sockets in its walls reveal that the main tower had four storeys. From the open visitor path, look for these traces and photograph a detail. Note how today’s view once meant watching over a route.
