See the Yazılıkaya-Midas Monument in the Phrygian Valley

Han · Eskişehir · Türkiye

Yazılıkaya's Midas name comes from Midai in the Phrygian inscription at the upper left. The central doorway-shaped niche held a statue of the goddess Matar during ceremonies. From the visitor path, locate the inscription and niche; photograph the façade without touching the rock and record the story behind its two names.
